There is a joke about having to clean up before the maid arrives, but there is a reality behind it.
When your floor, counter tops, furniture (any flat surface) is cluttered with "stuff", the housekeeper can not clean it!
A maid (housekeeper) will not pick up after you. And, if they do they will charge you by the hour and it will end up costing you more.
An important consideration, housekeepers also are trained in helping you find ways to relieve the clutter and put systems in place to keep it that way.
So, rule of thumb....hire a professional organizer to help you get organized, reduce clutter and put systems in place. Then, hire the housekeeper to do a "deep cleaning".
When you do, your life will run more smoothly. You will be less stressed. And, you will be savings yourself time and money going forward.
